Wait – I’m logged in but none of the content is showing up!
If this NFAQ page is the only one you can see, if you click on Home*ologie (for example) on the member home page and you get something that looks like the photo on the left instead of the photo on the right, then it means you haven’t completed your login yet.
This happened with several people who somehow missed the very final confirmation step. You’ll need to send us an email at email@example.com and let us know you’re having this problem and we’ll tell you what you need to do to get going!
How do I unsubscribe?
You can’t. Sorry. Ever heard of the Hotel California?
Okay, actually it’s easy. You do it in your PayPal account. Here are PayPal’s exact words: To change or cancel your agreement with Hope*ologie, log in to your PayPal account, go to your Profile, and click My money. Update your agreement in the “My preapproved payments” section.
But wait, I don’t have a PayPal account and signed up with just my credit card. How do I cancel?
Again, fairly easy but you’ll have to make a phone call. Simply call PayPal customer service: 1-888-221-1161 and tell them you need to cancel a recurring payment you have with Hope*ologie. Ask them to make sure your card will not be charged next month.
Then, simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know of the cancellation because we’ll need to manually remove your username.
If you do unsubscribe, we’ll miss you. And we’d love for you to drop us a note to say why. Thanks.
Speaking of notes, how do I give feedback or suggestions?
Just click ‘contact’ on the right of the menu bar above. We’d love to hear from you. We respond to email Monday – Friday.
Can I get a refund?
We realize you may try Hope*ologie out and for whatever reason you are unable to keep your subscription. As promised in our guarantee, we want you to be able to try it out risk-free so we will offer a refund for your first month if you want to unsubscribe and we will be so sorry to see you go. We are not able to offer a refund for multiple months.
Where are my downloads? I clicked ‘download’ several times and nothing happened. Then I clicked some more. Then I grumbled under my breath.
They’re in your computer, in the place your computer keeps downloads. If you clicked ten times, they’re in there ten times
It’s could be confusing since the download doesn’t pop up on your screen – it just goes straight to your computer. Sorry for the trouble.
In your computer, you’ve probably seen a menu or icons for ‘downloads – documents – pictures – video – music.’ Look there, and from there you can move them or save them anywhere you want – maybe set up a hope*ologie file?
How can I get the podcasts onto my phone/ipod/mobile device?
The Hope*ologie Podcast is now on iTunes! So that one you can access like any other podcast.
Since the Sister*ologie Podcast is private you need to get it into your personal itunes so you can move it to your mobile thingy. It’s easy and quick, but there’s couple of steps. Let’s pretend there’s only two major steps with a couple parts to each.
These are PC directions. If you use Mac the basics are still the same – figure it out and let me know and I’ll post Mac directions here too.
STEP 1. You start by right clicking. You can right-click the link to the podcast, or if you’ve already opened the podcast to play it in its own window, you still just right-click. Right click is king.
On the little pop-up menu click ‘save’ or ‘save link as’ – doesn’t matter, either will work.
You’ll see another window to choose where to save it to your PC. Decide where you want to put it, and remember where that is
STEP 2. Open itunes. Click ‘add file to library.’ (For me I use the little arrow in the upper left corner of itunes. Or you may just have a menu item you can find. If you have trouble, let me know.)
Choose the folder where you saved the podcast and look for the podcast. Select it and click ‘open’ and it will add the podcast to your itunes. Once it’s in itunes you add it to your ipod or iphone just like you add music.
I was a member last month, but I missed something – is there any way I can get it!
All content is live on the site for as long as you’re a member except: 1. The Sister*ologie Podcast and 2. the hand-lettered printables from Annie. These expire after 30 days. Use the ‘contact’ form on the menu above if you have questions or missing downloads and we’ll see what we can do.
Who’s the man in the photo at the top?
Some guy at a beach.
He’s practicing one of our favorite beach quotes:
The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach – waiting for a gift from the sea. – Anne Morrow Lindbergh
